HALF DAY TASTER WORKSHOP (3.5 hrs)
Take time out from your busy schedule and explore your creative side whilst learning the basic steps to creating a beautiful piece of mosaic art. ” One to One” adult mosaic workshops can be arranged at my studio based in in Glenmore, Co. Kilkenny. (My studio is small but I can take up to two people.. so bring a friend)
You will have access to a wide range of materials such as vitreous tiles, glazed and unglazed ceramic tiles, glitter tiles, gems and glass stones and much more.
Half day taster “one to one” or “one to two” workshops are run on request throughout the year on a mutually agreed date.
Cost: €55 including light refreshments.

ONE DAY INTENSIVE WORKSHOP
(7 hrs inclusive of light lunch)
The one day intensive workshop is everything described above PLUS you will receive an introduction into cutting techniques, tools, adhesives, etc. Your finished piece will be approximately 10 x 8 inches. Groups are limited to 2 per workshop so expect to receive lots of individual attention. I am also available for “one to one ” workshops, at no extra cost.
Cost: €100 inclusive of light refreshments and lunch.
Workshops will take place by request throughout the year at my Studio in Glenmore.

THE WEEKEND/TWO DAY WORKSHOP
(10am to 5.30pm each day inclusive of lunch and light refreshments)
These can be organized on request. So if you have a group of friends who would like to attend a weekend workshop, please contact me directly for details.
The two day /weekend workshop is suitable both for beginners and those that are more advanced. Again, groups are small – 4/5 people max in order allow for individual attention. The location of these workshops will vary depending on your requirements.
Mosaic a mirror or base approx. 12 x 10 inches (supplied) or bring along your own base, perhaps a small piece of furniture, locker, small occasional table etc. You will have access to a wide range of materials plus we will discuss in detail; design, inspiration, andamento and opus (flow and laying style). A large selection of mosaic books will be available to you which will help inspire.
You will have lots of time to practice cutting, shaping and spacing and will have plenty of knowledge to continue this beautiful craft on any future project which you may wish to undertake at home.
Handouts will be supplied which will give information as to where to buy materials, tools, bases etc, as well as information on grouting.
Cost: €165 inclusive of lunch and refreshments.

Payment and Cancellation Policy

Courses must be booked in advance and full payment received prior to the commencement of any workshop.
Cancellation Policy is as follows:
In the unlikely event of a workshop being cancelled by Smidiríní Mosaics a full refund or credit towards another workshop will be given.
In the event of a participant having to cancel attendance to workshops the following will apply:
- Full refund will be given if cancellation is advised 7 days prior to commencement of workshop.
- 75% refund will be given if cancellation is advised 4 days prior to commencement of workshop.
- 50% refund will be given if cancellation is advised 2 days prior to commencement of workshop.
- 25% refund will be given if cancellation is advised 1 day prior to commencement of workshop.
